Ardara Small Sideboard 85cm

The Ardara Small Sideboard 85cm is an oak sideboard measuring 85 cm wide, 35 cm deep and 80 cm high, with two drawers over a two door cupboard.

Storage for a Wall That Has None to Spare

Most sideboards assume a long dining wall. This one is 85 cm across, which is the width of an alcove, the gap beside a chimney breast, or the short wall that a dining table already crowds. Two drawers take cutlery and table linen, and the cupboard below swallows the things that only come out at Christmas. At 35 cm deep it does not eat into the walking space in front of it.

Cup Handles and a Curved Edge

The drawers pull on brushed cup handles and the doors on round knobs, which is the detail that keeps a plain oak carcass from reading as a flat-pack box. The top carries a gently curved edge rather than a square corner, so a hip meets something rounded on the way past. It is built in solid oak with oak veneer, in a medium oak tone that sits between honey and chestnut.
