The doors close over the whole upper carcass, which is where dry goods, serving dishes or china live depending on which room it stands in. Below them a wine rack holds bottles on their sides and two woven baskets pull out for the loose things that otherwise end up on a worktop. It is one piece doing the work of a cupboard, a rack and a drawer unit, next to a dining table or against a kitchen wall.

Nearly Two Metres of Height, Half a Metre of Floor

At 190 cm it uses the part of a wall that usually goes to waste, and takes only 110 by 55 cm of floor to do it. That trade matters in a kitchen or a small dining room where there is height to spare and no room to spread out.
