Farrow & Ball Scallop No.311

Scallop No.311 is a light pink from the Farrow & Ball Signature Palette, with warm orange undertones. It sits in the light band of the Farrow & Ball palette. It reflects a generous amount of light, which makes it a dependable choice for north-facing rooms, hallways and smaller spaces that need to feel open.

Using Scallop in a scheme

Great White No.2006 is the white to run with it — it shares the same undertone, so ceilings, cornices and skirtings stay in the same key. For a scheme built on one colour, step up to Tailor Tack No.302 on walls and down to Charleston Gray No.243 on joinery.

Priming and light

Prime bare or previously painted surfaces with Farrow & Ball White & Light Tones Primer & Undercoat. Matching the primer to the depth of Scallop gives truer colour and usually saves you a topcoat. Pale colours do the heavy lifting in an Irish room, but they shift between a bright morning and a wet afternoon, so test before you buy.
