The Viners Bead Soup Spoon is a round soup spoon in mirror-polished 18/0 stainless steel, with the traditional English Bead pattern running around the handle. It is sold singly and has a rounder bowl than the other Bead spoons.

Deep Bowled Spoon for Broths and Stews

The deep, rounded bowl holds more than a dessert spoon, which suits soups, stews and broths on a cold evening. The English Bead design dates from the 1750s, and its row of small beads around the handle was inspired by pearls.

A round soup spoon carries vegetable soup, chowder or Irish stew without spilling and is comfortable to sip from the side. Lay it on the far right of the place setting, outside the table knife, so it is the first piece used when the starter arrives. It is also a good spoon for cereal, porridge and wide bowls of pasta in sauce.

Dishwasher-Safe Cutlery for the Dining Table

Soup is a regular starter at Christmas, Sunday dinners and family occasions in Ireland, so a matching soup spoon at each place keeps the table looking consistent. It is sold singly, so you can buy one per guest. Pair it with the Bead table knife and dessert spoon to cover a three-course meal.

The polished steel is rust-resistant and dishwasher safe, so it is easy to keep looking bright. It mixes with the rest of the Bead knives, forks and spoons, so you can complete a place setting for starters and mains. See our dining collection or browse our kitchen and dining range.
