Tala Rectangular Folding Cooling Rack

The Tala Rectangular Folding Cooling Rack is a chrome-plated wire rack in a traditional design that holds cakes, muffins and biscuits off the worktop, then folds flat for storage. It is made from chrome-plated steel in a traditional style.

Folding Wire Tray for Muffins and Loaves

The large rectangular surface takes trays of muffins, loaves and biscuits, and the raised grid lets steam escape so bakes cool faster. Cover it with greaseproof paper to protect fragile cakes while they cool.

Afterwards, the rack folds flat to slip into a drawer or cupboard.

A rectangular rack takes the shape of a standard baking tray, so a batch of cookies, a tray of muffins or two loaves of soda bread can cool side by side. Lifting them onto the raised wire stops the bases going soft from trapped steam. For delicate sponges, lay greaseproof paper over the wires first so the marks do not press into the cake.

Chrome-Plated Rack Oven Safe to 280 °C

Because it is oven safe to 280 °C, it can also sit inside a roasting tin to lift meat out of the juices, or hold crisp bacon or potato wedges above a tray. Folding it flat means it fits in a narrow drawer or beside the baking trays. It suits families who bake in batches, and for round sponges the 30 cm round non-stick rack is the other choice in the range.

Strong chrome-plated wire is easy to wipe clean, and the rack is oven safe up to 280 °C. See more in our baking collection or browse our kitchen and dining range.
