Tala 30 cm Round Non-Stick Cooling Rack

The Tala 30 cm Round Non-Stick Cooling Rack is a round wire cake rack with a non-stick coating that lets steam escape from every side of cakes, biscuits and bakes as they cool. It measures 30 cm across and is made from steel with a non-stick coating.

Round Wire Stand for Cooling Sponges

Raising bakes off the worktop stops soggy bases, and sturdy feet hold the rack clear of the surface. The 30 cm round shape fits a sponge, tart, cheesecake or a batch of cookies.

The lightweight wire rack stores easily in a kitchen drawer.

When a sponge comes out of the oven, steam is still escaping, and leaving it on a flat plate traps moisture underneath. Turning it out onto a raised rack lets air get round the whole cake so the base stays firm. A 30 cm round rack suits the usual 20 cm and 23 cm sandwich tins, and is large enough for a quiche, an apple tart or a cheesecake base. A dozen cookies or scones also fit comfortably.

Non-Stick Grid That Releases Bakes Cleanly

For a Victoria sponge, leave the cake in the tin for a few minutes, then turn it onto the rack and allow it to cool fully before filling. The non-stick coating means a soft sponge will not tear when you lift it off. The rack is dishwasher safe and slips into a drawer, so it is a handy addition for anyone who bakes regularly. For trays of muffins, the rectangular folding rack is the alternative.

The non-stick coating releases delicate sponges and biscuits cleanly, and the rack is dishwasher safe. See more in our baking collection or browse our kitchen and dining range.
