Stellar Cast Light Clay 28 cm Sauté Pan

The Stellar Cast Light Clay 28 cm Sauté Pan is a lightweight enamelled cast iron sauté pan with a tempered glass lid, for frying, sautéing, simmering and finishing dishes in the oven. It comes with its lid and works on every type of hob.

Lighter Cast Iron Pan That Sears Well

It is around 50% lighter than traditional cast iron, so it is easier to lift from hob to oven. The PFAS-free honeycomb enamel surface sears well and builds a natural non-stick layer over time.

Use it on gas, ceramic, halogen, solid plate and induction hobs. The pan is oven safe to 240 °C and the glass lid to 180 °C.

The 28 cm size and deep sides give room to brown chicken thighs or sausages in one layer, then add stock, tomatoes or cream without spilling. Being lighter than standard cast iron, it is easier for anyone who finds heavy pans hard to lift when full.

Deep Skillet with a Glass Lid for Ragù

Start a ragù on the hob, put the lid on and move it to the oven to cook low and slow, keeping in mind the lid's lower limit of 180 °C. The clay enamel and gold-tone handles look smart enough to bring the pan straight to the table. If you mostly cook stews and soups, the 24 cm Cast Light casserole in the same colour is the deeper option.
