Scatterbox Cohen Rug Taupe

The Scatterbox Cohen Rug Taupe is a rug in 100% viscose pile, woven in Belgium and available in several sizes.

Viscose, and Why It Feels Different

Viscose has a silk-like handle that no synthetic quite matches: the pile lies flat and slightly lustrous, and it takes dye deeply, so taupe reads warm rather than muddy. It is the fibre to pick when the rug is somewhere people sit on the floor as well as walk across it. The trade-off is that viscose drinks liquid faster than wool does, so a spill wants blotting the moment it happens rather than rubbing, and the pile lifts back with a vacuum rather than a stiff brush.

A Warm Mid-Tone to Set Against Wood

Taupe does the job grey often fails at: it carries warmth, so it works against oak and walnut as readily as against a painted floor. Choose the size from the options above, taking the smallest to sit under a coffee table, the middle one to catch the front legs of the seating, and the largest to run under a full suite. Woven in Belgium. Scatterbox cushions and throws are stocked in the same colours.
