Irish Blessing Fridge Magnet

The Irish Blessing Fridge Magnet is a colourful resin magnet featuring the best-loved traditional Irish blessing, a bright reminder of a happy time spent in Ireland.

May the Road Rise to Meet You

May the road rise to meet you is the most famous of the traditional Irish blessings, often shared at weddings and farewells. On the fridge door it is a cheerful line to read every morning.

A strong magnetic backing holds notes, photos and reminders. Browse more Irish-made gifts.

The full blessing goes on: may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Many people know it from a wedding, a funeral or a farewell party, which gives it a special meaning for families with someone living abroad.

Parting Gift for Weddings and Emigrants

The 8 x 7 cm magnet is light and easy to post, so it suits a souvenir, a stocking filler or a parting gift for someone moving abroad. See our general accessories.

It is a thoughtful gift to tuck into a card for someone emigrating, a couple heading off after their wedding or a student starting college overseas. As it weighs very little, it adds little to the postage. It also suits visitors who heard the blessing at a family occasion and want to take it home. Wipe the resin clean with a dry cloth.
