High Cross Fridge Magnet

The High Cross Fridge Magnet is a colourful resin magnet showing a decorated Celtic high cross, a small reminder of time spent in Ireland.

Celtic Cross Souvenir from Ancient Ireland

High crosses stand on old monastic sites across Ireland, and the great carved stone crosses date from the 9th century. This magnet picks out the cross in bright colour, so it stands out on a fridge door.

The strong magnetic backing holds notes, photos and reminders in place. Browse more Irish-made gifts.

Well-known examples stand at Monasterboice and Clonmacnoise, carved with panels of Bible scenes and Celtic knotwork. The cross on this magnet is a simple, colourful version of that shape, with the ring around the centre that marks out a Celtic cross. It suits anyone who has visited one of the old monastic sites, or who has family roots near one.

Light Irish Gift to Post Overseas

At 8 x 7 cm the magnet is light and easy to post, which makes it a handy souvenir, stocking filler or token for friends and family overseas. See our general accessories.

Slip it inside a birthday or Christmas card and it adds very little to the postage, which is handy for a cousin in Boston or a friend in Australia. It is also a small thank-you for a host family, or a holiday souvenir for a child to bring home and show the class. Wrap it in a sheet of paper inside the card so it sits flat, and wipe the resin with a dry cloth now and then to keep it clean.
