Farrow & Ball Worsted No.284

Worsted No.284 is a mid grey from the Farrow & Ball Signature Palette, with a true neutral with no discernible bias. It sits in the mid band of the Farrow & Ball palette. It holds its character in both daylight and lamplight without dominating a room, which makes it as comfortable on a full set of walls as it is on joinery.

Using Worsted in a scheme

Blackened No.2011 is the white to run with it — it shares the same undertone, so ceilings, cornices and skirtings stay in the same key. For a scheme built on one colour, step up to Dimpse No.277 on walls and down to Pitch Black No.256 on joinery.

Worsted sits right on the line between Mid Tones and Dark Tones Primer & Undercoat — ask us and we will confirm which one your surface calls for. Sitting mid-range, it takes its cue from the room around it. Test it against your floor and woodwork, not just the wall.
