Farrow & Ball Raw Tomatillo No.CB6

Raw Tomatillo No.CB6 is a dark green from the Farrow & Ball Carte Blanche Collection, with cool green undertones. It sits in the dark band of the Farrow & Ball palette. It absorbs most of the light that falls on it, so it rewards rooms you want to feel enclosed and intimate — snugs, dining rooms, studies and panelled woodwork.

Using Raw Tomatillo in a scheme

James White No.2010 is the white to run with it — it shares the same undertone, so ceilings, cornices and skirtings stay in the same key. For a scheme built on one colour, step up to Whirlybird No.309 on walls and down to Beverly No.310 on joinery.

Priming and light

Prime bare or previously painted surfaces with Farrow & Ball Dark Tones Primer & Undercoat. Matching the primer to the depth of Raw Tomatillo gives truer colour and usually saves you a topcoat. Dark shades reward rooms you want smaller and warmer. In Irish winter light expect it to read deeper than the card, so plan your lighting to suit.
