Farrow & Ball Palm No.CC4

Palm No.CC4 is a light green from the Farrow & Ball California Collection, with cool green undertones. It sits in the light band of the Farrow & Ball palette. It reflects a generous amount of light, which makes it a dependable choice for north-facing rooms, hallways and smaller spaces that need to feel open.

Using Palm in a scheme

James White No.2010 is the white to run with it — it shares the same undertone, so ceilings, cornices and skirtings stay in the same key. For a scheme built on one colour, step up to Pavilion Blue No.252 on walls and down to Card Room Green No.79 on joinery.

Priming and light

Prime bare or previously painted surfaces with Farrow & Ball White & Light Tones Primer & Undercoat. Matching the primer to the depth of Palm gives truer colour and usually saves you a topcoat. Irish daylight is soft and often overcast, which pulls pale colours cooler on a north-facing wall than the card suggests. Try a tester on two walls first.
