Monkey Puzzle No.238 is a dark green from the Farrow & Ball Archive Collection, with a soft cool grey-green undertone that keeps it from reading cold. Prime bare or previously painted surfaces with Farrow & Ball Dark Tones Primer & Undercoat. Matching the primer to the depth of Monkey Puzzle gives truer colour and usually saves you a topcoat. Dark shades reward rooms you want smaller and warmer. In Irish winter light expect it to read deeper than the card, so plan your lighting to suit.
