Farrow & Ball Light Stone No.9

Light Stone No.9 is a mid neutral from the Farrow & Ball Archive Collection, with warm orange undertones. It sits in the mid band of the Farrow & Ball palette. It holds its character in both daylight and lamplight without dominating a room, which makes it as comfortable on a full set of walls as it is on joinery.

Using Light Stone in a scheme

Slipper Satin No.2004 is the white to run with it — it shares the same undertone, so ceilings, cornices and skirtings stay in the same key. For a scheme built on one colour, step up to Farrow's Cream No.67 on walls and down to Dibber No.312 on joinery.

Priming and light

Light Stone sits right on the line between Mid Tones and White & Light Tones Primer & Undercoat — ask us and we will confirm which one your surface calls for. Irish light moves through the day and mid tones move with it. A test patch will show you how it reads in the morning and again under lamps.
