Farrow & Ball Graupel No.G10

Graupel No.G10 is a light blue from the Farrow & Ball Archive Collection, with cool blue undertones. It sits in the light band of the Farrow & Ball palette. It reflects a generous amount of light, which makes it a dependable choice for north-facing rooms, hallways and smaller spaces that need to feel open.

Using Graupel in a scheme

Sizing No.314 is the white to run with it — it shares the same undertone, so ceilings, cornices and skirtings stay in the same key. For a scheme built on one colour, step up to Cabbage White No.269 on walls and down to Wine Dark No.308 on joinery.

Priming and light

Prime bare or previously painted surfaces with Farrow & Ball White & Light Tones Primer & Undercoat. Matching the primer to the depth of Graupel gives truer colour and usually saves you a topcoat. Irish daylight is soft and often overcast, which pulls pale colours cooler on a north-facing wall than the card suggests. Try a tester on two walls first.
