Farrow & Ball Eddy No.301

Eddy No.301 is a light green from the Farrow & Ball Signature Palette, with warm yellow undertones. It sits in the light band of the Farrow & Ball palette. It reflects a generous amount of light, which makes it a dependable choice for north-facing rooms, hallways and smaller spaces that need to feel open.

Using Eddy in a scheme

James White No.2010 is the white to run with it — it shares the same undertone, so ceilings, cornices and skirtings stay in the same key. For a scheme built on one colour, step up to All White No.2005 on walls and down to Lichen No.19 on joinery.

Try it first

A 100ml Sample Pot of Eddy is supplied ready-mixed in Estate Emulsion and covers roughly a square metre — enough to paint a test patch and live with it in your own light for a day or two before ordering a full tin.

Priming and light

Prime bare or previously painted surfaces with Farrow & Ball White & Light Tones Primer & Undercoat. Matching the primer to the depth of Eddy gives truer colour and usually saves you a topcoat. Under the flat grey light we get for much of the year, pale shades lean cooler than they look on a card. Test the brightest and dullest wall in the room.
