Cofra Danu Dining Chair Natural Oak

The Cofra Danu Dining Chair Natural Oak is an upholstered dining chair on a natural oak frame, measuring 54 cm wide, 59 cm deep and 75 cm high, in a neutral-toned fabric.

Fabric Between Velvet and Boucle

The covering sits between the two: it has the soft hand of velvet with some of the texture of boucle, in a neutral tone that does not fight the wood. That texture is the practical part as well as the pretty one, because a broken surface hides the ordinary marks of a family table far better than a flat weave does. The seat is generously cushioned, so the chair earns its place at a long Sunday lunch.

A Frame Left Pale and Open

The backrest curves around and is upholstered right through, with no hard rail across the shoulders. Legs taper, the line of the frame stays angular, and parts of the wooden base are cut away where they would press. Keeping the oak in its own colour is what makes this the one to pick in a bright room; the darker Bordo version is the same chair in a deeper stain. The finish is matched to the Ivy dining table, and the chair is made by hand in Ukraine from high-grade oak and oak veneer.
