Ceramic Hen Butter Dish

The Ceramic Hen Butter Dish is a white ceramic butter dish with a lid shaped like a nesting hen.

Farmhouse Butter Keeper with Chicken Lid

The hen lid lifts off to reveal a standard block of butter, keeping it covered and fresh on the table. Explore our dining essentials range.

The farmhouse look suits country-style kitchens and breakfast tables.

It holds a standard block of butter, so a new block can go straight in from the fridge. Keeping butter covered on the table or counter protects it from crumbs and dust, and many people like to leave it out so it spreads easily on brown bread and scones. The nesting hen will appeal to anyone who keeps hens or grew up on a farm.

Cheerful Present for Bakers and Cooks

It makes a cheerful present for keen bakers and cooks. Hand washing is recommended. Find more kitchen accessories.

It sits well with a dresser of blue and white delft, a farmhouse table or a set of country-style mugs, and it adds a bit of fun to Sunday breakfast. Give it to a baker who loves making scones and soda bread, to someone moving into an old farmhouse, or as a housewarming gift with a block of local butter. Wash the base and lid by hand in warm soapy water and dry them carefully.
